Why Education in Pakistan is Declining?
However, after all of this, the quality of education in Pakistan is declining due to many reasons. Some are listed below:
No Planning:
The education sector of Pakistan is prone to lack of proper planning and wisely implementation. Every now and then we hear the speeches form political leaders revealing that the quality of education in our country will be improved and it will be made easily accessible to most of the people even residing in rural areas. But after the election campaigns are over, these promises fly in the air and no proper measures are taken. From last some years, Pakistan is struggling with financial management when it comes to achieving the goals set for the education sector.
Society constraints:
The government alone cannot be blamed for the declining situation of education. The social and cultural norms are also a hurdle in the attainment of education. Mostly women are allowed not allowed to opt for education and most of the parts of our country have no separate educational institutes for women. This is one of the reason why education is declining in Pakistan.
Gender Gap:
As discussed above, due to the gender gap, only 45 percent of lower girls are enrolled when compared to boys. In Pakistan, people are very conservative, and they don’t allow girls to get educated as it is against family rules. There are three reasons behind the undeveloped education sector of Pakistan: economic, political and security. These reasons are resulting in the abrupt decline in the quality of the education system. In order to solve this problem, there are many organizations which are working and making differences:
United We Reach:
It is a nonprofit organization that is working hard in order to promote education in Pakistan by creating new opportunities for children. They are using some modern technologies for incorporating easy education for everyone. Moreover, they also distribute fully scripted lessons plans to students. The three major and basic goal is to provide education to underprivileged society of Pakistan and for students residing in rural areas.
Global Partnership for Education (GPE):
It is the best organization which is operational in Pakistan, helping Pakistan to prosper in the education sector. This global organization is dedicated to providing better circumstances to people so that they can admit their children in better social educations. This company aligns policy making and future planning in order to strengthen the education system of Pakistan. This firm is educating children in collaboration with UNICEF and USAID for many years. It started its operations in Pakistan in 2012 and since that time it has increased the education GDP to a huge range. Due to this, more jobs are created in Pakistan and more schools are opened in all large and small cities of Pakistan. The company is also focusing on providing education to minorities such as:
Children with disabilities Children with psychological issues Girls’ education and gender equality Out-of-school children Non- Muslims
It’s a high time that we as a person should promote education for the prosperity of our country. No doubt, education can make huge differences. As rightly said, educate a mother in order to educate a whole nation. Do not refrain from educating your children, it will not only help them but also contribute to this nation, Pakistan.
